Nomadic Art Fair is an amazing nostalgic place where one can recall all their childhood memories. Memories of playing with a toy which is more likely to a non-existence for the people of this generation. Nomadic Art Fair is full of those old memories.
How I found this Place?
I was just wandering nearby Connaught Place and saw that Hunar Haat was going to happen for some days in Delhi. So, I thought I must pay my visit there with my camera. Hunar Haat was itself full of different state cuisines and what we can call in our Hindi Language as “Hunar dur se hi Jhalak Raha tha”.
When I reached at the ending side of Hunar Haat, there were this basement describing “Nomadic Haat”. Initially I thought as it must be a part of Hunar Haat. But later on, I got to know as this Nomadic Haat is been in Delhi for about 2.5 Years long time and it’s operated by NDMC. And more importantly, I had no single clue about its existence. Felt so dumb to call myself a Traveler! 😛
How was Nomadic Art Fair?
It was so good and well organized. I really liked their concept of merging up the entire childhood and all those nostalgic childhood memories at a single place. Nomadic Art Fair also constitutes of various other attractions like Craft, culture & cuisines. And I was very happy to know more about those old forgotten memories. You can cherish your eyes with all those memories and you can take them to your home as well. As the items coming here from almost entire India and pretty thing is that they can be purchased as well.
They even got a separate corner full of Nomadic Food – Chulhe Ka Khana. They’ve got a whole platter full of Nomadic Food. In that, they serve you with that Bajra Roti, Methi Laddoo, Chacch, halwa, Lehsun ki Chutney, Gur, etc in a little bit higher but decent price of Rs 200/-. They’re also selling Kachori prepared in Rajasthani Style with Aloo ki Subzi in just Rs 30/-.
Mamraj Banjara were so helpful during my visit. The man who answered all my curiosity about this place and they make some really nice nomadic food too. Do meet them whenever you plan to visit there.
